Kajeet Partners with the City of Williamsburg to Close the Digital Divide and Advance the Lives of Residents through Safe and Reliable Internet Connectivity

As part of a new six-month pilot program funded by the CARES Act, the city of Williamsburg is deploying free internet access to residents in the Highland Park neighborhood with the intention of expanding to other locations.

According to a survey by the Pew Research Center, 27% of Americans do not have a broadband connection in their home. This number is even more alarming in rural areas, where more than one in three households (37%) are without internet. To help close the digital divide and boost the well-being of residents, Kajeet Connect Prime™ routers are being distributed to residents in areas identified by the city of Williamsburg as having a high percentage of families without internet access.
